Borang TP1 Malaysia 2026: Payroll Relief Claims Explained

How eligible relief declarations may change monthly tax deductions.

What TP1 does

Form TP1 is the employee's individual deduction and rebate claim document for PCB withholding purposes. Eligible items can affect the payroll PCB calculation when supported by records and checked against HASiL's current 2026 instructions. TP1 is not a replacement for the annual tax return.

Practical process

  1. Download the official 2026 TP1 form rather than an outdated previous-year version.
  2. Identify claim category and its limit; do not simply enter total receipts as tax relief.
  3. Keep original documentation, and avoid duplicate claims already made elsewhere.
  4. Submit to your employer according to its payroll deadline.

Examples of categories

The 2026 form includes separately described healthcare, insurance and qualifying education-related items. Limits differ across categories and some amounts interact. PCBCalc.my supports selected approved claims only; unsupported combinations cannot be certified by its calculator.

TP1 versus TP3

TP1 concerns qualifying deductions and rebates. TP3 concerns earlier employment records in the same year. Use the right form for each purpose. Your employer and HASiL remain authoritative on eligibility.
